My Blogging Impact Model... It's evolving!
I've been blogging for around a month now and I'm really happy with how my blogging journey is going. I can see there have been people visiting my blog from all around the world. So I wanted to share a little bit about my motivations for blogging.
This blog is about reflection. I suppose that's kind of implied in the title. So I started off blogging with this model in mind.
So I was thinking that a Blog would be a good way to reflect on the impact that my life, my work and my learning have on each other. Does anyone else use their blog that way? Or maybe you use your blog in a completely different way? I'd be interested to hear about that.
But I'm starting to discover that there's another layer to my blog and that's interacting with an audience, a community of likeminded people out there who have shown an interest in my writing. So my model is evolving thanks to you people. These are people I may never meet in real life. But writing about the relationship between my learning, my work and my writing has brought these people to my blog. So I can't help wondering about the impact my writing is having on people? Perhaps we have similar experiences? Or perhaps our experiences are very different. I'd love to hear about some of your stories and what brought you to my blog page. If you have any questions or suggestions for a blog topic then please do feel free to get in touch with me by leaving a comment below.
A few people have contacted me to say that leaving comments on my blog has been difficult so I've looked at my settings and hopefully it should be easier to leave comments now.

Ha! no-one ever comments on my posts so no, I don't use it to connect with other like-minded people. I think I use Twitter for that, and the H818 WhatsApp group.
ReplyDeleteThat said, on refelection, I have done in the past. Long ago I had a different blog about something more personal (medical), and it was anonymous. I did connect with other bloggers in the same realm and we supported each other on our journeys.
This was before I used FB as heavily as I do now... now there are FB support groups. If you get into a long-term recipriocal blogging arrangement as I did, it can feel like a bit of a chore because you feel compelled to read and comment on all of their posts to be supportive. That said, I still remember the people I was blogging buddies with, some of whom I am now friends with on FB. I got to know these bloggers quite a bit, and it allowed us to detail our journeys anonymously (giving us protection).
